To celebrate Women's Month we caught up with Raabiah, who manages our Constantia store.
  • Describe yourself in 5 words?

Passionate, motivated, compassionate, enthusiastic and generous.

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?

I see myself running my own small business on the side while working in the career field I’ve studied for.

  • Who is a woman that inspires you and why?

As a young muslim woman, I look up to women in my religion. Khadija bint Khuwaylid was one of the first successful business women in her own right. She was also one of the first women to believe in Islam, she stood by her decisions and her beliefs irrespective of what others thought about her. In today’s world many people fall victim by compromising their beliefs and morals just to fit in. Knowing that throughout history so many women were seen as the outcast and were looked down upon for their beliefs and what they stood for but eventually those became the influential women that left a monumental impact on today’s society and our lives.

  • What advice would you give to your younger self?

Don’t rush or force anything, wait for it to come to you.

  • What is the significance of Women's Day to you?

Women’s day to me signifies the celebration of a women’s nature. The loving, caring, kind, innocence that every women has inside of them.
